Hermanos Thioune

Thioune Brothers is a Senegalese music group, made up of some of the best traditional and contemporary instrumentalists in the country, under the leadership of singer-songwriter and musician Khaly Thioune. Hermanos Thioune was born in 2009 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria thanks to Aly and Khaly Thioune, two brothers with a degree in performing arts from the National School of Art of Senegal and a scholarship from the University of Paris. With their music they have participated in national and international festivals such as: Africa Vive, Diversity, Rototom Sunsplash, WOMEX Dinamarca, WOMAD Las Palmas de Gran Canaria y Cáceres, etc…

CI LA BOKK is a multidisciplinary festival that values interculturality as an enriching element for all regions of the world, whether or not they are geographically close to the Canary Islands but distant in terms of our knowledge.
