Bio
Propaganda pel fet! is a catalan musical cooperative established in Manresa (Barcelona) since 1996. The company develops several projects related with music and society, and is known for being a record company with more than 150 references released in different formats (from cassette to DVD to Vinyl, CD or CD-Book). The record company currently has two distribution services of physical and digital formats.
The editorial line of the record company and the cooperative is guided by two fundamental criteria: on one hand, support to artists who understand culture and music as a tool for social transformation and on the other hand, transparent and horizontal work with all the artists.
Associated to the record company, Propaganda pel fet! has its own publishing company who owns and administers the rights of a catalog with more than 2000 songs of about 50 authors. Also in the musical field, the cooperative has a management office with catalan, spanish and international top artists of all kind of musical genres in its roster like La Raíz, ZOO, Obrint Pas, Valira, Nativa, Feliu Ventura, Tribade, JazzWoman, Auxili, Sara Hebe and many more, with an average of 300 shows per year.
Propaganda pel fet! with the company Kay Studis promoted the construction of Stroika, a concert venue in Manresa with capacity for 800 people and, since its inauguration in 2010, the cooperative is co-owner and co-responsible for the management of the venue.
Propaganda pel fet! is also the company who promoted the creation in 2008 of the Casas de la Música de Cataluña (Catalan House of Music net, a pioneer cultural project in Europe who promotes musical education, creation and live events with the association of private companies and the Public Administration) and was the main business structure linked to the project until the creation of Potenkim Events SL, a new company created as the result of the co–owned venue between Propaganda pel fet! and Kay Studis.
