After the success of the 2018 participation, Spanish music will have a relevant presence in the International Music Fair (Feria Internacional de la Música Profesional-FIMPRO) in Guadalajara, Mexico. In its fifth edition, this trade fair is consolidated as one of the most important professional events of Latinamerican music markets. Three groups and one artist of great international projection, from the pop music of Lori Meyers to the psychedelia of Rufus T.Firefly and the urban music of Zazo & Gxurmet, will represent the Spanish music under the umbrella of Sounds from Spain, the supporting platform for the internationalization of the Spanish music industry. Other relevant companies o

The sector, like Musica Solar, Nuevos Medios and Darlalata, will also attend this encounter. Promusicae is the association that coordinates the participation of Sounds from Spain.

FIMPRO was born in 2015 and has become an important event at national and international levels. This year 1,537 music proposals have been registered from 25 countries and from 330 different cities. This current edition will take place from 28th to 31st May in Guadalajara (Jalisco), a city very well-known for its Mariachi tradition and its cultural activity in Mexico.

The activity supported by Sounds from Spain will focus on the organization of professional meetings and a workshop within the academic activities, which are also part of the Fair organised by the University of Guadalajara. Four showcases will also be organized on Thursday night, 30th May.

The Spanish companies Spanish Bombs (Lori Meyers), Emerge Producciones (Rufus T.Firefly) and Artica (Zazo &Gxurmet)  will also attend this encounter. Other companies like Musica Solar, Nuevos Medios and Darlalata will also attend the event without presenting any artist for the showcases.

The selected proposals are a reference of the international market potential, plurality, eclecticism and excellence, and they reflect the contemporary Spanish music scene.

Lori Meyers represent pop with classic reminiscences and with great success among the Spanish public. Rufus T.Firefly, from a town in Madrid, Aranjuez, play psychedelic pop.

Zazo & Gxurmet has evolved from underground rap to urban pop, and we can find some glimpses of flamenco.
